Mathematics Matters - A Crucial Contribution to the Country's Economy
The Parliamentary and Scientific Committee in collaboration with the Council for the Mathematical Sciences.

For the first time the Council for the Mathematical Sciences was being given the opportunity to sponsor a meeting on the mathematical sciences in Parliament.
The event took place in the Grand Committee Room, Westminster Hall. Meetings of the P&SC are open to all members of both Houses of Parliament, but attendance from outside Parliament is restricted to representatives from member organisations.

Those attending the meeting included Andrew Miller MP, Chair, Parliamentary and Scientific Committee and Stephen Timms MP, Shadow Minister for Employment.
