The Council for Mathematical Sciences sent young mathematical scientists to 'Voice of the Future 2012' - this was an opportunity for scientists aged 16-35 to put their questions to an assembled panel of MPs at the House of Commons. The event, organised by the Society of Biology, took place at Portcullis House on Wednesday 14 March.

MPs attending the event included the Minister for Universities and Science, David Willetts MP; Shadow Minister for Innovation and Science, Chi Onwurah MP; and members of the House of Commons Select Committee on Science & Technology.

Places were allocated via a competitive selection process, but you could still tweet your question live to the event by using the hashtag, #VOF2012.

The event formed part of the National Science and Engineering Week programme.
